200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

This training will profoundly deepen your yoga practice and your understanding of the roots and ancient wisdom of yoga. Through the study of asana, pranayama, meditation, anatomical alignment, and yogic philosophy, you will gain a comprehensive overview of teaching yoga. Experience empowered leadership skills, personal growth, and confidence about the practice on & off your mat.

Begins Oct. 12th, 2026

  • Two live Zoom lectures per week (one weekday evening & one weekend) over the course of 2.5 months

  • Two recorded yoga classes a week & at-home homework assignments

We’ll end with an optional in-person meet-up & practice teach.

With a combined 18+ years of teaching experience and separate backgrounds in psychology, these two have created the most comprehensive trauma informed and live online yoga teacher training program.

Education

Philosophy, History, Ethics

  • History & Mythology of Yoga

  • Study of ancient texts, including Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the Yoga Sutra

  • Personal reflection, self-study through yoga philosophy

Meditation, Pranayama, Subtle Body

  • Styles and practices of meditation

  • Benefits and types of pranayama techniques

  • The chakra system, nadis, koshas, and their relationship to yoga poses

  • Brief overview of Ayurveda & discovering your dosha

Anatomy & Physiology

  • Key concepts of tension and compression, proportion and orientation in asanas

  • The Musculoskeletal System applied to yoga

  • Physiology of the nervous system, digestive system, cardiovascular system, and respiratory system

  • Biomechanics including joint stabilization and safe movement

Alignment and Asana

  • Benefits of the yoga poses (asanas)

  • Modifications and variations of asanas (like prenatal, senior populations, chair yoga)

  • Personal yoga practice advancement

Sequencing

  • Sequencing methodology of Htha & vinyasa yoga

  • Sequencing with purpose, authenticity, and knowledge

  • Teaching all-levels and beginners yoga classes

  • Creating powerful programs: workshops, series, and private clients

Teaching methodology

  • Practicums and practice teaching modules with live coaching and feedback

  • Verbal teaching skills, including your words, voice, and pacing

  • Effective cueing with clarity and purpose

  • Teaching with philosophical and anatomical themes

  • Hands-on assisting: physical adjustments and their key principles

  • Class management

  • Inclusion, diversity, and trauma-informed practices

  • Finances and important conversations for getting hired

  • Marketing and enrollment

  • Techniques and strategies for sustainable teaching (running workshops, retreats, building your private client list)
